Who has the No. 1 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft?
Tied with the Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets for the best odds at 14%, the Magic are the lottery winners of the 2022 NBA Draft. It was Orlando’s fourth lottery win and the first since 2004.
Who will be the No. 1 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft?
The Magic, who won the lottery three most recently, selected a big No. 1 overall pick, Shaquille O’Neal in 1992, Chris Webber in 1993 (who was quickly traded to Penny Hada by the Golden State Warriors) Wayne) and Dwight Howard 2004. This year, they could continue that trend under Gonzaga center Chet Holmgren.
Holmgren and Auburn forward Jabari Smith are the leading contenders overall. Between the two, though, Smith seems more likely to be Orlando’s final pick. Aside from the fact that Smith is just a safer bet than Holmgren, the Magic already have a pair of young big men Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr. on their roster.
