The 2022 Senior PGA Championship Finals leaderboard is led by champion Steve Alker, who has a major victory on the 2022 PGA Tour Championship schedule at the Harbor Shores Resort in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
Continuing Steve’s recent trend of winning the 50-over-tournament, Alke shot a staggering 8-under 63 in the final round of the tournament to win by three strokes with a 268, 16 under par.
Ark beat Stephen Ames and Bernhard Langer, who have been the oldest winners at majors.
Alker won a winner’s share of $630,000 of the $3,500,000 prize.
Senior PGA Championship Review Notes
Alke won his sixth PGA Tour title of the year, making it back into the championship circle on the Over-50 Tour.
Money earned by Alke — and every player on the field — is converted into Charles Schwab points, and every dollar is converted into two points during the Schwab Cup playoffs.
There are no pay cuts for the PGA Tour Championship events, including the majors they host. Every pro who completes the race gets paid.
