Beginning in 2023, the Kaulig Company will be the title sponsor of the PGA Tour Championship at Firestone Country Club

Akron, Ohio – The PGA Tour Championship and Bridgestone Senior Players Championship announced today that Kaulig Companies, a growing single-member family office with successful verticals across multiple industries across the country, will become the PGA Tour The new title sponsor for the Championship is Firestone Country Club, under a four-year deal starting in 2023.

Next year’s game at Firestone Country Club will be July 13-16, 2023. The official name of the competition will be announced at a later date.

One of five majors in the PGA TOUR Champions, the 72-hole tournament will host 78 players competing for $3 million in prize money. Past winners of the Bridgestone Senior Players Championship include Steve Stricker (2021), Jerry Kelly (2020) and Retiff Goosen (2019). In addition to tournament rounds, the week-long event includes the Pro-Am, Golf Ambassador Awards – this year honoring former U.S. Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice – tournament hospitality venues, concerts and special events.

The 2022 Bridgestone Senior Players Championship continues the tradition of the Firestone Country Club Pro Golf Championship, partnering with Northern Ohio Golf Charities to give back more than $30 million to area charities. The 2021 donation of $840,000 is the largest annual philanthropic total generated by the FirstEnergy Foundation through the Bridgestone Senior Players Championship and Golf Ambassador Program. These donations will go to worthy causes throughout Northeast Ohio. Major charities supported include Akron Children’s Hospital, LeBron James Family Foundation, Akron Canton Regional Food Bank, Greater Akron First Tee, UH Rainbow Baby and Children’s Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Akron Comprehensive Challenge Golf Program, Summa Health and United Way Summit Medina.

Previously, Firestone Country Club hosted the PGA Tour World Golf Championship-Bridgestone Invitational from 2006-2018.
