Apex Legends Mobile – Guide to Live Shooting Events

One of Apex Legends Mobile’s first post-launch events, the Live Fire event, is now available to players of the popular mobile version of Respawn’s hit battle royale. Players who complete the event will receive some free loot, including a mobile-specific R-99 skin. Read on for details on how to complete the live shooting event and earn every free reward.

getting Started

After logging in, you will see a splash screen announcing the event. Select “Go” and you will be taken directly to the event page. However, if you accidentally click on an announcement and have trouble navigating Apex Legends Mobile’s crowded, somewhat cluttered UI, you can also manually navigate to the event page. From the main lobby screen, select the Season Events page on the left side of the lobby screen, below the news slide.

You’ll then be taken to the Season Navigator, where you’ll see information on all current and upcoming Apex Legends Mobile events. In the right column of the event list (below the “Grow Your Squad” event) is a live fire event, easily identifiable by the R-99 in its announcement image. After selecting the Live Fire event, you will be taken to the event’s Challenges and Free Rewards Tracking page.

Unlike many events in Apex Legends on console/PC, the challenges of the Live Fire event are the same for every player. All challenges require players to use specific weapons to accomplish specific feats in combat, but luckily these aren’t difficult to perform. The Live Fire event includes the following six SMG-based challenges:

  • Deal 500 damage with a Volt SMG
  • Deal 800 damage with an alternator
  • Kill 6 enemies with R-99
  • Deal 200 damage with the Prowler in one match
  • Knock down enemies 15 times with any SMG
  • Deal 2000 cumulative damage with any SMG

The challenge itself is fairly simple, but here are some tips to help you complete the event challenge as quickly as possible:

Play team deathmatch or arena. although Challenges can be completed in any game mode (Except for shooting range/free practice mode), it may take longer to complete challenges in battle royale mode than in team deathmatch or arena mode, this allows players to choose their preferred weapon instead of relying on random Booty.

Play the correct legend. The Live Fire event can be done with any Legendary, so it’s best to choose one you’re comfortable with – but some Legends have an edge over others in this event. We’re using Bloodhound (its tracking abilities are invaluable in almost all modes), Mirage (easy escape when things get hot and lure hidden enemies with his decoys) and Gibraltar (its Gun Shield helps) Getting the best of luck is very important when knocking down enemies without being knocked down first).

Completing each challenge nets you 20 challenge points. Live Fire event rewards are as follows:

  • 15 Challenge Points: Players get 3,000 Season Coins, which can be used to buy cosmetics in the Season Store.
  • 35 Challenge Points: Unlock the bullet gun charm.
  • 60 Challenge Points: Players get 4000 Season Currency.
  • 85 Challenge Points: Players earn 100 Flux, which can be used to craft Legendary skins in the crafting section of the in-game store.
  • 120 Challenge Points: Unlocks the R-99’s rare laser-etched weapon skin.
